1 亞哈隨魯王使陸地和沿海地帶都向他進貢。

2 他那有權柄的作為和他的才能﹑以及末底改的尊大地位﹐就是王怎樣尊他為大的事：其詳確的敘述﹑不是都寫在瑪代波斯諸王記上麼？

3 猶大人末底改做亞哈隨魯王的宰相；他被猶大人推為尊大﹐得到眾族弟兄的喜悅；他為本族之民求福利﹐向本種族的眾人講論平安興隆的事。
